A few of you guys have been asking me how I edit my photos and what apps I use with the latest pics on my feed & blog. I’ll be giving a breakdown in this post, as I use different apps for most of my photos and sometimes it’s straight off my phone.
Let’s start with the main badboy and what I use to edit all of my style photos. I shoot all my style photos in camera raw and use the Tezza01 & Tezza02 presets in Lightroom for desktop (still trying to sort my lightroom mobile out – looooong story). If I am able to edit on my phone using the Tezza presets I’ll let you guys know, and yay – because Lightroom Mobile is free.
Here is a before and after, but as you can see, edits always need some further crafting. Depending on the exposure and time of day, I switch between the two preset styles, but mostly use Tezza 01.
I save and then reopen them in Lightroom. I play with the exposure and temperature. If the photo is very yellow, I bring the temperature down (cooler) and visa versa. I generally love an orange glow on all my photos, so I will also play with the hue to increase the reds & oranges to make then stand out more. There is no specific input that I use, I generally just play by eye and tweak each photo as I go along.
The last part is my favourite part. Adding some dust and scratch marks to my photos. I use Afterlight for this as they have a lot of options that are free, so you can change up the scratches on each photo so it doesn’t look to repetitive. Then a sneaky app that I should mention on here, is Facetune, I use it to whiten the background on flatlays and whiten my teeth. It’s also great to quickly smooth out skin and get rid of pimples. Its an iPhone App, so it makes it super easy and convenient to edit on the go.
As you can see, there are a few steps, not just one easy click for achieving a specific style. I hope this helps & inspires you to edit your dream photos they way you want them to look. Practice might not make perfect, but it sure makes it worth it 😉
