Don’t mind me, I’m just here, having what feels like an Eat, Pray, Love moment. Ah the little town of Cetona, another piece of my heart has been stolen by you.
We spent two days in Cetona, the small town in the southern part province of Siena, Tuscany. Developed on the hillside around the rocca fortress, containing a square tower and an inner fortress wall. A small slice of heaven, basically.
This was the second destination of our trip through Italy and although short lived, I’m so grateful we got to experience the not-so-much touristy side for a change. English was hardly spoken here, we had to make use of our creativity with hand gestures and repeated attempts of trying to pronounce the items on the menu correctly. Whilst ordering the most cliche item on the menu (and one of the few items we knew exactly what it was) lasagna, it began to pour down with thunder and lightning. Making it the most random, but the most perfect setting for our brief time in the little town of Cetona.
